Basketball Recap: Berthoud Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Berthoud won the last time they faced Severance and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Berthoud Spartans secured a 57-51 W over the Severance Silver Knights. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Leading Berthoud to victory were Sofia Sigg and Avery Pfohl. Sigg went 5 for 12 en route to 17 points and six boards, while Pfohl went 8 of 13 on her way to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Slauson, who posted six points and six steals.

Berthoud smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Berthoud's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-6. As for Severance, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-11.

Berthoud will host Thompson Valley at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Severance, they will take on Timnath at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Timnath will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Severance surely won't give up without a fight.
