Soccer Game Preview: DSST: Cedar vs. Denver West

The DSST: Cedar Falcons will challenge the Denver West Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. DSST: Cedar's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

DSST: Cedar managed to keep up with KIPP Denver Collegiate until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Falcons lost 3-0 to the White Tigers.

Meanwhile, Denver West can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They never let Kennedy get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ingrid Garcia and Zahara Mohamed scored both of Denver West's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Denver West's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for DSST: Cedar, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1.
