Basketball Recap: Keyser Takes a Loss

Keyser lost against Hedgesville back in December of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Keyser Golden Tornado were dealt a 75-22 defeat at the hands of the Hedgesville Eagles.

Despite the loss, Keyser had strong showings from Braylon Mcgreevy, who posted six points and five rebounds, and Kameron Samples, who had five points and eight rebounds.

Keyser's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Hedgesville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Keyser didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-38 loss against Jefferson on the 14th. As for Hedgesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 55-36 victory against Idea on the 14th.
