Basketball Recap: Miamisburg Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Miamisburg won the last time they faced Troy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Miamisburg Vikings took down the Troy Trojans 51-35. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Andrew Hoerner was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 20 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Derr, who posted ten points.

Miamisburg's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5. As for Troy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Miamisburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-58 loss against Hamilton on the 21st. As for Troy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-52 win against Butler on the 21st.
