Softball Game Preview: Beckman Patriots vs. Dana Hills Dolphins

The Beckman Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Dana Hills Dolphins at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Beckman's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Dana Hills' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Beckman saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of Edison by a score of 6-4.

Bree Nguyen was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Hayden Freedman, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Dana Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They skirted past Woodbridge 3-2.

Hailey Reed was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Beckman's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Dana Hills, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Beckman hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like Dana Hills struggles in that department as they've averaged .313. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Beckman might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Dana Hills in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Beckman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
