Basketball Recap: Benjamin Comes Up Short

Benjamin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Atlantic Christian Sharks and fell 46-17. The Buccaneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2021.

Benjamin's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Atlantic Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6.

Benjamin has already played their next contest (against American Heritage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Atlantic Christian and St. Edward's will face off at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. St. Edward's defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so Atlantic Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
