Basketball Recap: Opelousas Catholic Comes Up Short

Opelousas Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They lost 60-34 to the Sacred Heart Trojans. The Vikings were probably out for revenge after losing 62-23 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Opelousas Catholic's record now sits at 4-16. As for Sacred Heart, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-9.

Opelousas Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 73-9 loss against JS Clark Leadership Academy on the 4th. As for Sacred Heart, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-39 victory against North Central on the 4th.
