Basketball Recap: Cedar Grove Comes Up Short

Cedar Grove won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were outmatched by the Caldwell Chiefs and fell 56-11. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Chiefs: they've now lost four in a row.

Cedar Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Caldwell, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cedar Grove Panthers take on the Columbia Cougars at 11:30 a.m. on January 4, 2025. Cedar Grove is facing Columbia at the right time seeing as Columbia is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Caldwell, they will face off against Montville at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
