Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Concordia). They were the clear victors by a 25-4 margin over the Orrick Bearcats on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Fighting Orioles, who have now won ten games in a row.
Concordia got a massive performance out of Cheyanne Fitzpatrick, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Fitzpatrick a new career-high. Taylor Gard was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four runs and four RBI.
Concordia pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Orrick, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
