Baseball Recap: Valley Lutheran Comes Up Short

The Valley Lutheran Flames lost 18-7 to the San Manuel Miners on Tuesday. The Flames have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Valley Lutheran saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brennan Larson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Larson also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Valley Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for San Manuel, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Lutheran will welcome Maryvale Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Manuel, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Mogollon at 2:00 p.m. The Miners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 12.2 runs per game this season.
