The Oyster River Bobcats will head out on the road to square off against the Stark Generals at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Oyster River is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Oyster River got the win against Pelham by a conclusive 13-2. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Pythons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Sammy Bishop spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kate Michaud was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Meagan Rinko, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Oyster River hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in eight consecutive games.

Kingswood hit Stark with a five-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Generals took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stark's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Oyster River, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3-1.

Oyster River took their win against Stark in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
