Soccer Game Preview: Huntsville vs. Prairie Grove

Huntsville is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Prairie Grove a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Huntsville Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Prairie Grove Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Huntsville came up short against Green Forest on Thursday, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Huntsville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Green Forest are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Prairie Grove took on Clarksville on Thursday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Panthers. That's two games in a row now that Prairie Grove have lost by exactly three goals.

Prairie Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Huntsville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7-2.

Huntsville was able to grind out a solid victory over Prairie Grove in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
