Basketball Recap: Village Christian Skates Past San Fernando Valley Academy with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Village Christian over San Fernando Valley Academy in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Crusaders blew the Huskies out of the water with a 95-24 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Crusaders had established a 61-point advantage.

San Fernando Valley Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Success Coupet, who posted three points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Luka Pizarro, who had two points along with seven boards and three blocks.

Village Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 88.5 points this season. As for San Fernando Valley Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
