Basketball Recap: Baylor Takes a Loss

Baylor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 55-13 loss at the hands of the Cleveland Blue Raiders. The matchup marked the Red Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Cleveland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lauren Hurst out in front who went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points and three blocks. The game was Hurst's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ilianis Rodriguez, who made all 5 shots she took for 13 points and six steals.

Baylor's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Cleveland, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-4.

When Baylor and Cleveland next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Baylor will challenge Webb and their seven-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Cleveland will try to stop Bearden's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
