Baseball Recap: Selinsgrove Comes Up Short

Selinsgrove came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-4 to the Central Mountain Wildcats. The Seals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Dominic Santer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those RBI were his first of the season.

Selinsgrove's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Central Mountain, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Selinsgrove will challenge Jersey Shore at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Central Mountain, they will square off against Shikellamy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
