Fort Meade is 9-1 against Mulberry since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Fort Meade Miners will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mulberry Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Fort Meade 3.5, Mulberry 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Fort Meade is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Santa Fe Catholic just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks.

Andrew Brooks was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Brooks was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Brooks wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Eli Harrell, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mulberry, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Discovery 4-3.

Coby Anker tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Brock Thielen and AJ Medina did most of the damage at the plate: Thielen scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Medina scored a run while going 1-for-2. Thielen has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Gavin Stedman was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Mulberry's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Fort Meade, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Fort Meade beat Mulberry 4-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Will Fort Meade repeat their success, or does Mulberry have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
