Basketball Recap: Lakewood Park Christian Takes a Loss

Lakewood Park Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 49-35 fall against the Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 47-45 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Lakewood Park Christian lost, don't look at Avery MacFarlane. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 boards. Another player making a difference was Garrett Black, who posted nine points.

Lakewood Park Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakewood Park Christian will head out to square off against Churubusco at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Wawasee at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
