Volleyball Game Preview: El Modena Vanguards vs. Brea Olinda Wildcats

The El Modena Vanguards will head out on the road to challenge the Brea Olinda Wildcats at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, El Modena turned things around against Magnolia on Friday. They put the hurt on the Sentinels with a sharp 3-0 win. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Vanguards yet this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant El Modena was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Brea Olinda hadn't done well against Pacifica recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Mariners by a score of 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-20, 20-25, 25-16, 25-18.

El Modena's record now sits at 7-16. As for Brea Olinda, their record is now 15-11.

El Modena came out on top in a nail-biter against Brea Olinda when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 3-2.
