Chico strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 27-17 win over the Elk Grove Thundering Herd. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 21-7 victory the Thundering Herd walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Chico's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Elk Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Chico will square off against Enterprise at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Elk Grove, they will face off against Laguna Creek at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
