Basketball Recap: Heritage Find Success

While Heritage didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They managed a 69-63 victory over the Douglas County Tigers on Tuesday. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

When it comes to explaining why Douglas County lost, don't look at Demarcus Williams. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Dent, who posted nine points.

Heritage's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points over those games. As for Douglas County, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Heritage didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-54 defeat against Alcovy on the 6th. As for Douglas County, they have also already played their next matchup, a 68-61 loss against East Paulding on the 5th.
