Softball Recap: Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Long Prairie-Grey Eagle's offense. They lost 21-0 to the Parkers Prairie Panthers on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Thunder's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Long Prairie-Grey Eagle has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Parkers Prairie, their record now sits at 11-5.

Looking ahead, Long Prairie-Grey Eagle will challenge Upsala at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.63 runs per game on average), something the Thunder will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Parkers Prairie, they will take on Brandon/Evansville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
