Basketball Recap: Maple River Takes a Loss

Maple River and St. Clair squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Maple River had to settle for second. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Clair Cyclones. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cyclones earlier this season, when they won 58-53.

Maple River's loss dropped their record down to 24-22. As for St. Clair, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-14 record this season.

Maple River will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sibley East at 5:45 p.m. on March 14th. St. Clair does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
