Baseball Recap: Regis Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Regis waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the East Linn Christian Academy Eagles get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

East Linn Christian Academy's batters probably weren't too happy with Owen Eaton, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (he gave up a single walk). Eaton has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Korben Schumacher was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Regis is 8-2 when Schumacher posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Luke Castillo, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Regis' victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for East Linn Christian Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Regis will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
