Volleyball Recap: Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors vs. Waltham Hawks

Lincoln-Sudbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Waltham Hawks. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

While Lincoln-Sudbury ultimately came up short, they really made Waltham work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 26-24, 25-20.

Leading Waltham to victory were Tharyar San and Matthew Longacre. San had 13 assists and seven digs, while Longacre had 14 assists and four digs. That's the most digs San has posted over his last eight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Paul Shin, who had eight digs and four assists.

Lincoln-Sudbury's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Waltham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Lincoln-Sudbury wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Methuen on the 16th. As for Waltham, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cambridge Rindge & Latin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
