The Montezuma-Cortez Panthers will challenge the Rifle Bears at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Montezuma-Cortez is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.

Montezuma-Cortez's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Bayfield with a sharp 9-0 win. Mia Glazner was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Rifle fell victim to Vail Mountain and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 5-0 to the Gore Rangers. Rifle have struggled against Vail Mountain recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Montezuma-Cortez's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Rifle, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
