Basketball Recap: Reedy Lions vs. Creekview Mustangs
The Reedy Lions won the last time they faced the Creekview Mustangs, and things went their way on Friday too. Reedy came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 59-51. The win made it back-to-back wins for Reedy.
Reedy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rylen Mitro led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Langford, who scored 16 points.
Reedy's win bumped their record up to 12-17. As for Creekview, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.
Reedy will be playing at home against the Raccoons at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Creekview, they will head out on the road to challenge the Trojans at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Newman Smith presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Mustangs in Texas (the Trojans are ranked 114th, while the Mustangs are ranked 614th).
