Basketball Recap: Britton Deerfield Comes Up Short

Britton Deerfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 59-14 loss at the hands of the Whiteford Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 585th, while the Bobcats are ranked 187th).

Britton Deerfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Whiteford, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Britton Deerfield will square off against Morenci at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morenci will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Britton Deerfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Whiteford, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Bobcats take on the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lenawee Christian will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Whiteford surely won't give up without a fight.
