Baseball Recap: Silver Stage Takes a Loss

Silver Stage lost against Sierra Lutheran back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Nighthawks took a 15-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. Even if the Nighthawks couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Landen Wolf and Andreu Dubois did some serious damage despite the final result: Wolf scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Dubois scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Dubois has become a key player for Silver Stage: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Miguel Garcia also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Silver Stage has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Sierra Lutheran, with the victory, they broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-10-1.

While Silver Stage had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
