Baseball Recap: Strasburg Comes Up Short

Strasburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-4 to the Smoky Hill Buffaloes.

Erik Alamillo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Bryan Yanez also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Strasburg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Smoky Hill, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coming up, Strasburg will square off against Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Smoky Hill, they will venture away from home to face off against Cherry Creek at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
