Recap: New Life Camp Storm vs. Chatham HomeSchool Thunder
After a string of four wins, the New Life Camp Storm's's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chatham HomeSchool. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as New Life Camp came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Chatham HomeSchool is ranked 134th).
Zach Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chatham HomeSchool, scoring 26 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 blocks. That makes it two consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least 25% of Chatham HomeSchool's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Woodard, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
New Life Camp's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Chatham HomeSchool, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
New Life Camp will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Wake at 8:00 p.m. on December 15th. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to face off against DASH at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
