Volleyball Recap: Piedmont Classical Comes Up Short

Piedmont Classical was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Phoenix Academy Firebirds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Firebirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-6, 25-18.

Phoenix Academy can attribute much of their success to Madison You, who had four digs and three aces. Those three aces gave You a new career-high.

Piedmont Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Phoenix Academy, their record now sits at 4-10.

Coincidentally, Piedmont Classical and Phoenix Academy will both be playing Leadership Academy the next time they take the court. The Firebirds will head out to face the Falcons at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bobcats will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
