Football Recap: Little Village Comes Up Short on the Road Against Bowen/Baker College Prep

Little Village had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Bowen/Baker College Prep Boilermakers and Bobcats, falling 36-0. The Phoenix just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row dating back to last season.

A big part of the win came down to the chemistry between Larreon Watkins and his top target Caleb Wright. Watkins threw for 85 yards and two touchdowns while Wright picked up 110 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Wright got the majority of those yards when he pulled down a pass and and took off for a gain of90 yards. Sion McKay was in the mix as well, providing Bowen/Baker College Prep with two touchdowns touchdowns.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Little Village will head out to take on Christian Fenger Academy at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bowen/Baker College Prep, they will venture away from home to challenge Steinmetz College Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
