Baseball Recap: Lake Howell Comes Up Short

Lake Howell lost against Lake Brantley back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lake Howell Silverhawks lost 9-2 to the Lake Brantley Patriots. The Silverhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

John Quinones was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.

At the plate, Diego Miranda made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Joseph Lehnen also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.

Lake Howell now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lake Brantley, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Lake Howell is taking a road trip to take on Master's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Master's Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for Lake Brantley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Howell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
