Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Toronto). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Bridgeport Bulldogs 58-24. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-26 last Monday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Toronto to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tatum Derrington, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. Jayna Reeves was another key player, going 7 for 14 on her way to 19 points and four steals.
Toronto's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8. As for Bridgeport, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.
When Toronto and Bridgeport next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Toronto will challenge Wellsville and their three-game winning streak at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bridgeport will try to stop Frontier's five-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
