After losing to North Brunswick the last time they met, South Plainfield decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the North Brunswick Raiders on Friday, sneaking past 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

South Plainfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-18, 26-24.

Kyara Knight paced South Plainfield's offense, picking up seven kills. Knight got some help from Raika Stiglic and her 12 assists. Cassandra Penny controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

South Plainfield now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Plainfield will face off against J.P. Stevens at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Brunswick, they will welcome St. Thomas Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
