Football Recap: Sentinel Spartans vs. Glacier Wolfpack
Sentinel lost against Glacier back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans had to suffer through a 48-14 loss at the hands of the Wolfpack. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Spartans, who until this contest were averaging 14.33 points allowed.
Although Sentinel took the loss, they still got scores from Tucker Laslovich and Rudy Hess.
Glacier's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jackson Presley led the charge by throwing for 216 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.2% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. That's the most passing touchdowns Presley has posted since back in September of 2024. Glacier's leading receiver Dylan Banzet was Presley's top target yet again, picking up 135 receiving yards and three TDs.
Having lost for the first time this season, Sentinel fell to 5-1. As for Glacier, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Sentinel is set to square off against their familiar foe Big Sky at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Spartans 14.3, the Eagles 6) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Glacier will face off against rival Helena at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 894 yards in their previous games.
