Softball Recap: Union-Endicott Comes Up Short

Union-Endicott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Maine-Endwell Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-3 loss last Wednesday.

Dominika Diaz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jade Taylor, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Union-Endicott's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Maine-Endwell, their record now sits at 8-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union-Endicott will face off against Liverpool at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maine-Endwell, they will square off against Vestal at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
