Softball Recap: William Penn's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

William Penn can bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They blew past the Antietam Mountaineers 19-4.

Chloe Diggs was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Aiyanna Vega was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

William Penn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .812. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

William Penn's win bumped their record up to 2-12. As for Antietam, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

William Penn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Antietam, they will welcome Wyomissing at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Mountaineers surely won't give up without a fight.
