Basketball Preview: St. Albans Bulldogs vs. Flint Hill Huskies
The St. Albans Bulldogs and the Flint Hill Huskies will meet in a canine-themed contest at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in St. Albans' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
St. Albans is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Providence Day last Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. St. Albans might have lost, but man, Jaylen Wills was a machine: he went 9 for 22 on his way to 23 points. Wills' afternoon made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Polk, who posted ten points in addition to five assists and five boards.
Maret typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Flint Hill proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 61-49 victory over the Frogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.
Flint Hill has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for St. Albans, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
