Riverside barely beat Rector the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rebels' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cougars a 17-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Rebels have won eight games by more than 12 runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Riverside, bringing their record up to 14-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for Rector, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Riverside has already played their next contest (against Walnut Ridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Rector, they will face off against Corning at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
