Basketball Recap: Severna Park Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

Severna Park won the last time they faced Arundel and things went their way on Friday too. The Severna Park Falcons had just enough and edged the Arundel Wildcats out 55-52.

Despite the loss, Arundel still got an impressive performance from Javeon Reed, who went 10-for-21 on his way to 25 points in addition to seven assists and six steals. With that strong performance, Reed is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Ellis Johnson was another key player, going 6-for-11 en route to 14 points.

Severna Park has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Arundel, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-10.

Coming up, Severna Park will host North County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in North County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 matches. As for Arundel, they will head out on the road to challenge Northeast at 6:00 p.m. on February 24th.
