Softball Game Preview: Metcalfe County Hornets vs. Bardstown Tigers

The Metcalfe County Hornets will square off against the Bardstown Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Metcalfe County's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Bardstown has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

If Metcalfe County beats Bardstown with ten runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Metcalfe County narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Warren Central 10-8.

Metcalfe County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allie Herrington, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Bardstown had taken John Hardin down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. Bardstown came up short against John Hardin, falling 14-6.
