The Riverside Prep Silver Knights suffered their biggest defeat since December 27, 2023 on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 83-43 loss at the hands of Silver Valley. Riverside Prep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Silver Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Keion Jordan and Marrion Brown certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Jordan scored ten points, while Brown scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.

Silver Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Javion Taylor out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Walker, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Riverside Prep has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Silver Valley, the win was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside Prep will challenge Academy for Academic Excellence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Academy for Academic Excellence has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Silver Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Lucerne Valley on Friday. Hopefully Lucerne Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 43 on Tuesday.
