Baseball Recap: Corbin Comes Up Short

Corbin blew Cooper out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Cooper got their revenge. The Redhounds fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 10-8. The Redhounds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Noah Cima was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Cam Estep, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs.

Corbin's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9. As for Cooper, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-8-1.

Coincidentally, Corbin and Cooper will both be playing Estill County the next time they take the field. The Jaguars will head out to face the Engineers at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Redhounds will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
