The Arapahoe Warriors will square off against the Fairview Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Arapahoe sitting on four straight wins and Fairview on eight.
Arapahoe is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-42 victory over Westminster. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Arapahoe's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trajan Frasier, who rushed for 76 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries. Frasier didn't just play on offense: he also made seven total tackles and defended one pass. Marcello Jaramillo also helped out with an impressive 103 receiving yards.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Arapahoe proved: they limited Westminster to a paltry 3.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Evan Nicholson for the heroic effort on defense: he. Arapahoe didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.8.

Arapahoe's defensive line didn't let Santana Soriano, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for 5.5 sacks. Westminster's QB won't forget Brody Sieck anytime soon given he sacked him 4.5 times. Sieck has become a key player for Arapahoe: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least one sack, but 1-2 otherwise. Another thorn in Westminster's side was Connor Gilchrist, who made 13 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Fairview two weeks ago. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Rocky Mountain out of the water with a 63-21 final score. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won nine contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
A big part of Fairview's win came down to the chemistry between Ki Ellison and his top target Toray Davis. Ellison threw for 323 yards and three touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes while Davis gained 154 total yards and four touchdowns. Davis was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 53 yards.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Fairview, adding 15 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Sabi Ruttgers, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Arapahoe's record now sits at 7-4. As for Fairview, their record is now 9-1.
Arapahoe came up short against Fairview when the teams last played back in September of 2017, falling 27-16. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
