Softball Game Preview: Niskayuna Silver Warriors vs. Ballston Spa Scotties

Niskayuna is 0-4 against Ballston Spa since April of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Silver Warriors will be playing at home against the Scotties at 4:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Monday just wasn't the day for Niskayuna's offense. They came up short against Shenendehowa on Monday, falling 7-0. The Silver Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, Ballston Spa fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Wellsville on Sunday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 8-7. The Scotties have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ballston Spa saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Livia Wiltsie, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Wiltsie has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Katelyn Weatherwax was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Ballston Spa's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Niskayuna, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
