Volleyball Game Preview: Seneca Fighting Irish vs. Woodland Warriors

The Seneca Fighting Irish will take on the Woodland Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Seneca was able to grind out a solid victory over Marquette, taking the game 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Fighting Irish in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won four in a row.

Seneca easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Woodland beat Leland 2-0 on Wednesday.

Woodland never let Leland on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 28-26.

Seneca's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Woodland, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.

Seneca was able to grind out a solid victory over Woodland when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Fighting Irish repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
