Volleyball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Triumphs

Gull Lake typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Mt. Pleasant proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Gull Lake Blue Devils by a score of 2-0. For the Oilers, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August.

Mt. Pleasant's not only won, but also showed off some consistency: keeping Gull Lake between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16.

Jaedynn Preston paced Mt. Pleasant's offense, picking up eight kills. Preston got some help from Jordyn Egger and her 14 assists. Finley Helm controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The win made it two in a row for Mt. Pleasant and bumps their season record up to 20-16-3. As for Gull Lake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 26-13-3.
