Basketball Game Preview: Hernando Tigers vs. Center Hill Mustangs + Official Tickets

Hernando hasn't had much luck against Center Hill recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Hernando has given up an average of 52.6 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hernando took a 20-point loss the last time they faced off against Lake Cormorant, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers pulled ahead with a 62-61 photo finish over Lake Cormorant on Monday. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Center Hill, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They had just enough and edged out Power Center Academy 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since February 4th.

The victory made it two in a row for Hernando and bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Center Hill, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Hernando was able to grind out a solid win over Center Hill in their previous matchup back in November, winning 46-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
