Basketball Game Preview: Central Kitsap Cougars vs. Gig Harbor Tides

Central Kitsap is 0-10 against Gig Harbor since December of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Central Kitsap Cougars will face off against the Gig Harbor Tides at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Central Kitsap is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Monday. They lost 70-45 to Silas. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Rams are ranked 101st).

Meanwhile, Gig Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 63-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bellarmine Prep.

Central Kitsap's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Gig Harbor, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Central Kitsap was taken down by Gig Harbor 69-35 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Central Kitsap avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
